Dawn Wentworth

Dawn L. Wentworth, 60, of La Crosse, entered into eternal life on Aug. 18, 2012, at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center.

She was born in Wisconsin, the daughter of Fred and Geneva (Ruedy) Wentworth, on June 30, 1952. After graduating from Central High School, she attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, with a degree in history in 1978. Later she lived for a year in Germany. For several years she served as a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed music and reading and her birds. In spite of her struggles and challenges she had a strong faith in Jesus.

She is survived by an aunt, Georgene Christenson of Eagan, Minn.; an uncle, Wallace Ruedy, and his wife, Betty of Waseca, Minn.; and seven cousins, Donald and Steven Christenson, Timothy and Thomas Ruedy, Tracie Wolf, Tamra Berg and Tara Masonick.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an uncle.

Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. at the Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 1425 Jackson St. The Reverend David Wendt will officiate and entombment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
