Sue A. MacLachlan

 

Sue A. MacLachlan, 56, of La Crosse died at her home Sunday, June 24, 2007.

She was born in La Crosse on Dec. 26, 1950, to Donald and Betty (Gislesen) MacLachlan. She was a 1970 graduate of Central High School and later attended WWTC to become a certified nursing assistant.

Sue enjoyed being around people and loved to help people in any way she could. She worked as a nursing assistant at Hillview Health Care Center and Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, both La Crosse, worked in foster care and was also a day-care provider, and also worked for the Salvation Army in La Crosse as a cook and in-take worker. Throughout her life, Sue also did volunteer work with several area organizations.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Nicole (Paul) Osborn-Robaczewski of Sparta; one granddaughter, Juliette Osborn of Sparta; her father, Donald of La Crosse; and her special friend, Gary Kleinertz of La Crosse, and his daughter, Faith Kleinertz, and grandson, Samual Kleinertz. Sue is further survived by her siblings and their families: Ellen (Carl) Hackbart of Austin, Minn., and their children, Scott Hackbart and Anne (Andy) Wolter; Georgia (James) Duffy of La Crosse, and their three children, Robert (Cynthia) Duffy and son, Nicholas, Haley Duffy, and Magen (Anthony Schneip) Duffy and children Elijah and Isaac; John (Susan) MacLachlan of La Crosse, and their children, Ian and Casey MacLachlan; and Gale (Michael) Miller of Virginia Beach, Va., and their children, Amber, Amanda and Alyce Miller.

Sue was preceded in death by her mother in 1988, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in La Crosse. The Rev. Roger Grow will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the church. Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse is assisting with arrangements.

Ellen, I am so sorry for your loss along with your whole family.  I think our paths crossed at the 1st Presbyterian Church in La Crosse when we were very young.  I may be wrong but I know I knew both you and Sue.  I remember her with fond memories.
