Joann L. Schoeder, 62, of La Crosse, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015.

She was born Nov. 27, 1952, in La Crosse, to Luther and Mary Ann Head. Joann worked many years at A.G. Edwards. One of her greatest joys was sitting in the sun with a good book. Joann’s family was everything to her and she spent much of her time staying in close contact with everyone.

Survivors include her mother; her son, Jason Schoeder of La Crosse; one grandson, Nick of Taylor; two sisters, Donna Head of La Crosse, and Carol (Kerry) Pribbenow of Lodi; nephews, Chandler (Vici) Head of Salt Lake City, Utah, Tyler Pribbenow of Lodi and Cody (Lisa) Weber of De Forest; nieces, Katie (Mike) McCormack of Salt Lake City, Jennifer (Adam) Altmann of Fitchburg, Danielle Pribbenow of Concord, N.C., and Morgan Weber of Sauk City; two great-nephews; a special cousin, Janice Peterson of La Crosse; many other cousins; special friend, Dennis Bremer of La Crosse; lifelong best friend, Linda Manske of Oelwein, Iowa; and close friend, Cheryl Kinstler of West Salem.

Joann was preceded in death by her father; and her beloved brother, Bill.

At Joann’s request, no services will be held. Memorials in memory of Joann may be given to the American Diabetes Association, the Freedom Honor Flight, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
